St. Luke’s Episcopal School is celebrating the outstanding achievements of its student-athletes, with four volleyball players and one cross-country runner being named to the All-County teams this season. These accolades not only reflect the individual talent of these athletes but also highlight the strength and dedication of the entire St. Luke’s athletic program.
Baker Garside, Amelia Smith, Hannah Baker, and Cami Abel were named to the 2024 Mobile All-County volleyball team. Sophie Dolbear was named to the 2024 All-County cross-country team. They will attend the award ceremony on May 18 at 5:00 p.m. in the St. Luke’s Auditorium.
The All-County honors awarded to Cami, Hannah, Baker, Amelia, and Sophie are a testament to the hard work, perseverance, and sportsmanship that define St. Luke’s Episcopal School. These athletes not only excelled individually but also contributed to the success of their teams, showcasing the strength and spirit of the St. Luke’s community. Congratulations to these exceptional athletes on their well-deserved recognition – we look forward to seeing even greater accomplishments in the seasons to come!
Meredith Donald is the Athletic Director for St. Luke's Episcopal School. She has served as St. Luke's Head Volleyball Coach for the past 10 years, leading the Wildcats to the Elite Eight State Championships in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024. She has 8 Final Four appearances and has won 8 Area Championships. In 2016 and 2017 Meredith won the State Championship. Her team finished the season in the 3A final 4. Coach Donald has a career record of 352-159. She also coached the Alabama North-South All-Star team in 2020. She was named to the AVCA Thirty Under 30 list in 2019. Coach Donald is the Mobile County Coaches Association President, and serves on the AVCA nominating committee and the AHSVCA Awards and Recognition Committee.
