Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore their creativity while developing artistic skills, critical thinking, and an appreciation for the visual arts. This teacher will foster a classroom environment where students are encouraged to express themselves, take creative risks, and grow both artistically and personally.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based visual arts instruction for middle and upper school students
- Teach a variety of artistic techniques, media, and art history appropriate for multiple grade levels
- Foster a creative, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Encourage students to develop artistic skills, creativity, and confidence through hands-on learning experiences
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback on artistic growth and achievement
- Organize and display student artwork throughout the school and coordinate student art exhibitions as appropriate
