St. Luke's Episcopal School is seeking nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated teachers to lead our Kindergarten and our 3-year-old preschool classrooms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where young children can thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that support early learning and development
- Foster a safe, caring, and welcoming classroom environment
- Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development
- Maintain effective classroom management and positive behavior guidance
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Maintain student records and complete required assessments and documentation
- Participate in school events, professional development, and faculty meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to the mission and values of St. Luke's Episcopal School
- Must meet all state licensing requirements and successfully complete background checks
