Golf Coach
The High School Golf Coach is responsible for leading and developing the boys' and girls' golf programs. This includes planning and conducting practices, managing competitions, fostering a positive team environment, and ensuring the personal and athletic growth of student-athletes. The coach must promote sportsmanship, character development, academic achievement, and adherence to school and AHSAA policies.
Duties:
- Plan, organize, and conduct practices that develop individual and team skills.
- Coach student-athletes during matches and tournaments.
- Teach the fundamentals of golf, including rules, techniques, and etiquette.
- Oversee team management, including player selection, lineup decisions, and travel logistics.
- Maintain equipment and inventory (golf bags)
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, school staff, and athletic administration.
- Model and enforce high standards of conduct, sportsmanship, and safety.
- Organize and attend all team events, practices, matches, and required meetings.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive team culture.
Working Conditions:
- Part-time position; practices and matches typically occur after school and on weekends.
- Outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Travel required for away matches and tournaments.
