Thanksgiving Lessons.
It is no secret that each of our coaches here at St. Luke’s has taught all of our student-athletes to be not only better athletes but better people. However, the same could be said for the coaches. Being a coach not only means sacrificing your own time, but learning from the experience. No amount of words could describe just how thankful we are for these amazing coaches and all they have done for St. Luke’s and all its athletes. In honor of recognizing these coaches, I asked each coach, whether a fall or spring sport, what they believed the greatest lesson they have learned as a coach or athlete is, here are the results.
The greatest lesson I have learned from being an athlete and coach is how to serve others.

The greatest lesson I have learned is that coaching is about championing and encouraging your athletes to see them reach their goals and be as successful as possible.
The greatest lesson I have learned from being an athlete and coach is that sports are not about a single individual, but the team as a whole.

The greatest lesson I’ve learned as the soccer coach would probably be the only way to achieve success is to strive for success.
