Football Seniors.

Andrew Smith

Varsity football player and senior, Andrew Smith, is a long-timer at St. Luke’s! He has attended St. Luke’s since kindergarten and has enjoyed playing football as a Wildcat for 12 years. That’s dedication!

What Andrew appreciates the most about being part of our varsity football team, is the feeling that they are all one-big family and also knowing that they will always have each other’s backs. It’s all about the TEAM – nothing else matters!

Andrew enjoys that the varsity football team is very competitive against each other, pushing each player to become better athletes. Coach Lee teaches them that success is always earned, it’s never given. Our Wildcats are committed to playing hard, playing smart and playing together and Andrew is eager to see where their senior football season takes them. Success is not an accident, it’s hard work!

Andrew knows that there are two teams, one night and they only have one shot at having zero regrets so preparation is key to any type of success. Poor preparation leads to poor performance so Andrew makes sure to put in the required work. The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender. Andrew’s favorite pregame ritual is hanging out with his teammates. To get into the right frame of mind he also enjoys listening to “Lucid Dreams” by Juice WRLD. Andrew, we’re cheering loud and proud for you during your senior season! Do it NOW and do it RIGHT! Success starts with believing in yourself. Good luck, #59! Finish strong!

Tyler Bracknell

Senior, Tyler Bracknell is also a long-timer at St. Luke’s. He started SLES in pre-school and has played football for 2 years. He is so thankful that another senior, Jake Keesee, forced him to play football because he has made some of the best memories that he could have ever imagined!

Some of Tyler’s favorite football traditions are lineman dinners, junior/senior dinner, running through the banner, and pep rallies. Preparing for the game takes a lot of work and dedication and Tyler feels like his team is ready for the season. Coach Lee, Tyler’s favorite football coach, has prepared them to be successful on and off of the field. He enjoys when Coach Lee puts the competitiveness into practice because it helps the team work harder and bonds tighter. After all, we are ONE school, ONE team, and ONE heart!

Not only does Tyler dominate on the field, he also dominates in the classroom and has earned the “Scholar Athlete of the Year” award. Keep up the great work on and off the field! Always remember…. play hard, smart, and together! You can do this, #5!

Parker Jackson

Senior, Parker Jackson has attended St. Luke’s since 5th grade has been on the varsity football team all throughout his high school years. Parker loves the competitiveness of the sport, but more so, he appreciates the bond that he has with his teammates.

The football team has always said “11 hearts, one heartbeat” and that means a lot to Parker. Only 11 boys are allowed on the football field when the ball is snapped and Parker feels blessed to be out on the field enjoying doing something that he loves with people that he loves.

Parker also enjoys the downtime with the team before football games. He says “It helps me relax and take my mind off of everything that is going on in my life. Playing football has always been my therapy and I could not be more blessed to play this sport.”

Parker, believe in yourself, push your limits, and do whatever it takes to conquer your goals this season. We will be under those Friday night lights cheering you on during your senior football season! We’re proud of you!
