Before students returned to campus for the 2026-27 school year, St. Luke’s Episcopal School faculty and staff were already learning, growing, and preparing for the year ahead.
As part of St. Luke’s commitment to innovation in education and professional development, faculty and staff had the opportunity to learn from professor, author, and educator John Spencer during his workshop, “How Will We Respond to the AI Revolution?”
As artificial intelligence in education continues to evolve and reshape the world our students will enter, the workshop challenged St. Luke’s educators to think intentionally about how AI can be approached as a tool for learning while continuing to prioritize the skills that matter most: creativity, critical thinking, curiosity, problem-solving, collaboration, and meaningful learning.
At St. Luke’s, preparing students for the future goes beyond introducing new technology. It means thoughtfully examining how emerging tools can enhance the educational experience while ensuring students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Professional development opportunities like this also reflect an important part of the St. Luke’s Episcopal School educational experience: our teachers are lifelong learners, too.
