Before the 2026-2027 school year began, St. Luke’s Episcopal School faculty and staff gathered for our annual Back-to-School Chapel, a meaningful tradition that provides an opportunity to begin the year together, united in faith and purpose.
During the service, faculty and staff prayed for the school year ahead, for our St. Luke’s students and families, and for the teachers, administrators, coaches, and staff members who will teach, guide, encourage, and care for our Wildcats each day.
Faith at the Heart of the St. Luke’s Experience
As an Episcopal school in Mobile, Alabama, faith is an important part of the St. Luke’s experience. Chapel provides opportunities for our school community to come together for prayer, reflection, gratitude, and spiritual growth while reinforcing the values of compassion, service, respect, and love for others.
Beginning the year in chapel also reminds our faculty and staff of the shared purpose behind their work. Whether teaching in the classroom, coaching on the field, supporting the arts, or serving students in countless other ways, every member of the St. Luke’s community plays an important role in helping our students learn, grow, and thrive.
